How Kindred Quill handles your information.

Kindred Quill is a home for authors, made by Merovex Press. This policy explains what information we collect on this website (kindredquill.com) and through our early-access list, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the marketing site and the early-access list only; once you have a Kindred Quill account, the application is governed by its own agreement.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you join the early-access list, we collect the email address you enter. If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard server logs — your device’s network address, browser type, the pages you open, and the date and time. We use these to keep the site working, to understand basic traffic, and to protect against abuse. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not follow you across other websites.
Cookies. This site sets only what it needs to load and display correctly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever add site analytics, we will say so here first.
How we use it
- To send you early-access invitations and the occasional note about what we’re building — only because you asked to join.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To run, secure, and improve the website.
We will not use your email for anything you didn’t sign up for.
Confirming and unsubscribing
When you join the list, we may ask you to confirm your subscription so we know the address is really yours. Every email we send includes a one-click way to leave, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who else touches your information
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site and send email on our behalf — for example, a hosting provider and an email delivery provider. They may handle your information only to provide those services to us, and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, plus a short period in our records. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then discarded.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. You can exercise any of these — or simply ask us what we have — by emailing the team. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any moment without contacting us.
Children
This website and the early-access list are meant for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Where your information is processed
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and we try to collect as little as possible in the first place. No website or method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we work to keep your information safe.

We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. When we do, we’ll revise the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll do our best to let subscribers know.
