Notifications exist to tell you one thing: something happened that concerns you. Everything about them is tuned to respect your attention.

One bell

The bell lights the moment an invitation, mention, boost, reply, or check-in ask arrives. Each notice says who did what and where to find it, and stays clear even if the original changes later. Open the panel and everything’s marked read.

Calm by default

Email arrives together, not one ping at a time: most things every few hours, replies once a day. See it in the app first and the email never sends. It’s a bell you’re meant to be able to ignore — which is the whole point.
